Rashford and Martial back in Man U colours?
Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has held a pre-match press conference ahead of the derby clash against Manchester City.
The Manager of the Month of September, Ten Hag, spoke to the press ahead of United’s comeback on the football pitch.
The German was asked for an update on the injury ahead of the game and said that Harry Maguire is ruled out the game. He picked up an injury for England while squaring off against Germany on Monday but limped through the remainder of the game.
Moreover, the manager has announced possibilities of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford could both return after a recent period of absence through injury.
“For the rest, we have some doubts with Anthony Martial, but he was training all week with the group, so we are really happy with that situation, and he is performing really well in training.”
“He makes a good impression. Rashford returns into training so also, we are happy with that.” said Erik ten Hag.
Martial has just played for merely 45 minutes that too as a substitute against Liverpool. But, his performance in that game was worth watching.
On the other hand, Rashford cannot afford any more injury setbacks either if he wants to get into the England squad for the World Cup later this year.
