Ravindra Jadeja ruled out, who is his replacement?
Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian all rounder has been given a red signal to perform in the remaining Asia Cup. The spinner has been in contact with a knee injury in his right leg, which requires him to undergo surgery and leaving him out of the squad for a quite bit of time.
With this, Rohit Sharma and his co have raised eyebrows and will be trying to get the squad right and at the best of the ability. However, with Jadeja not fit for playing, Gujarati boy Axar Patel has been added to the squad in place of Jadeja.
Furthermore, if Axar performs well, he also could be added on the flight list to Australia in October, “We are taking a second opinion. It’s (Jadeja’s injury) not looking good at the moment and there are chances of him missing the T20 World Cup,” a top BCCI official told The Indian Express.
“I don’t want to rule Jadeja out of the World Cup yet. Let’s see how he goes in the six-eight weeks going into the T20 World Cup. It’s part of every sportsperson’s life” said Head Coach Rahul Dravid.
Although, Jadeja’s absence will be felt on the field as he doesn’t do miracles with just bat and ball, but he can save useful runs for the team as well.
