Ross Barkley leaves Chelsea mutually
Englishman Ross Barkley has bid adieu to Stamford Bridge, the midfielder is leaving West London club FC Chelsea by mutual consent, the club made it official through a statement. Now, Barkley is on the hunt to find a new club as a free agent.
Barkley joined Chelsea back in 2018, played 100 games and scored 12 goals. Barkley was part of the Chelsea squad which won the FA Cup, Europa League and Club World Cup.
Although, much after this, he couldn’t find his way in the team as a regular and was then eventually loaned out to Aston Villa.
“We would like to thank Ross for his contribution to Chelsea and wish him well for the rest of his career,” on the official website of Chelsea.
Ross played his last fixture for Chelsea in May against Watford and with his header, the Blues were victorious in their last league game of the season.
As per Chelsea, it was the best to part ways and that is probably the best in future endeavours for both the parties. Although, the club has not announced any official payout, if any, the agreement which is involved are always fully guaranteed.
