Salah confident to stay with the Reds
Liverpool striker and Egyptian captain Mohammed Salah who has been in the news for his transfer rumours, claims that not thinking much about future just wants to focus on the current season and make the most out it.
“I’m not worried, I don’t let myself worry about something. The season didn’t finish yet, so let’s finish it in the best possible way – that’s the most important thing. Then in the last year, we’re going to see what’s going to happen”.
“I didn’t think about the fact I’m going to turn 30. I ask some players and they say it’s a different feeling when you turn 30, but I don’t know, I’m feeling fine. I’m enjoying life, I’m enjoying football – it doesn’t matter how old you are now.
The Liverpool star has also confirmed that he is expecting to stay the next year as well regardless of whether the contract is agreed or not. “It’s not about money, the day I leave Liverpool will be really sad.
On the career stats, Salah has 155 goals for the Liverpool club to his name with 245 games, currently he stands at the ninth position of Liverpool’s all time top goal scorers. After the two time African player of the year joined the club in 2017, The Reds have won six major trophies with him including the Premier League and Champions League title, which is something to vouch for.
Mohammed Salah’s contract expires in June 2023.
