Shocking News for WWE fans – Stephanie McMahon has announced that she will be taking a break from WWE
Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of Vince McMahon and former wrestler, is stepping away temporarily from WWE. Stephanie McMahon revealed on Twitter that she is leaving WWE to spend more time with her family.
“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” she stated on Twitter. “WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”
The news came as a great shock… yet wrestling fans have been overwhelmingly supportive.
The reason for Steph’s absence is unknown, though her husband, Triple H, reportedly stated he nearly died due to a serious health scare, declaring his wrestling career was ended.
Stephanie was last seen introducing Olympic Gold Medalist and WWE signee Gable Steveson to the fans at WrestleMania 38. Stephanie as well as her father have been wrestling fans for many years. Stephanie has been with the WWE since graduating from college.
Stephanie debuted on WWE and was featured in several important storylines. The 45-year-old is engaged to WWE Hall of Famer Triple H and is a former WWF Women’s Champion. Stephanie with her father have played key roles in the growth of WWE franchises such as Raw, NXT, and SmackDown.
In recent years, new competitors have developed, such as All Elite Wrestling. However, WWE’s pay-per-view events continue to draw large crowds, and the McMahon family is largely responsible for the company’s lasting appeal.
Many WWE fans and wrestlers reacted positively to Stephanie’s news on Twitter.
WWE President as well as Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan will take over much of Stephanie McMahon’s responsibilities at WWE, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
