In match no. 57, Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Supergiants, the match was not looking like the top two teams of the league were facing each other. The GT put up a score of nothing but 144/4 in their 20 overs with only ex – KKR player Shubman Gill getting a flow with the bat with a match winning knock of 63* of 49 balls.
No other player in the dugout of GT or LSG managed to even get passed 3o runs, the match was one sided from the mid second innings as the LSG were bowled out for just 82, courtesy Rashid Khan who scalped four wickets for 24 runs. Only three batsmen from LSG managed to get double figures.
Shubman Gill was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for his heroics in the game, with this win GT have officially qualified for the playoffs and now three spots are remaining for the qualifiers.
