Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of WC T20: Big blow to India as the all-rounder will undergo knee surgery – reports

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to go through a knee surgery after injuring his right knee, due to this, he will most likely miss out on the remaining matches of the ongoing Asia Cup. After Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, now Ravindra Jadeja is not a good sign for the Indian team.

“It would be too early to rule him out of the T20 World Cup, to be played in Australia in October-November” said head coach Rahul Dravid.

Jadeja has injured his knee; he is obviously ruled out of the Asia Cup. He is under the care of the medical team, he is going to see the doctors, see the experts. The World Cup is still a fair bit away, and we don’t want to jump to any conclusions and rule him out or rule him in. We’ll see how it goes” said Dravid ahead of India’s clash against Pakistan in the Super 4 fixture.

“Injuries are a part of the sport; it is part of our job to try to manage them. A lot will depend on rehab and the severity of the injury. I don’t want to rule him out or don’t want to make too many comments until we have a much clearer picture and a better idea, especially because the World Cup is six or seven weeks away from now.” added the former Indian captain.

Jadeja is a key player in the team and with his all-round abilities, he can change the match in India’s favour, like we saw in the recent match against Pakistan, which was a nail biter. His absence will surely affect Rohit Sharma and the playing 11.

Moreover, Jaddu’s knee has been giving him a tough time, recently also he was excluded from the ODI series against West Indies in July.
