TATA IPL Mega Auction 2022: Deepak Chahar sold at 14 Crores to Chennai Super Kings
India is witnessing the TATA IPL Mega Auction 2022 in Bengaluru on Saturday, February 12. The 29-year old Indian bowler, Deepak Chahar has been sold for 14 Crore to Chennai Super Kings. He was registered at the highest bracket of base price Rs 2 crores by virtue of being a capped player.
This right-handed batsman has been bought by Chennai Super Kings at 14 Crores. The Indian cricketer was already much expected to be one of the valuable players in the Mega auction 2022. The medium-pacer had already played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League 2021. He took 10 wickets in 12 IPL matches in the eleventh edition. Team A has again retained the player in this edition also. The lower-order batsman had generated keen interest among other franchises including Delhi capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. There was a bidding war for him among several franchises.
This marquee player has played for this franchise for the last four seasons. He had taken 58 wickets in total in all four editions with an economy rate of 7.7.
