TATA IPL Mega Auction 2022: Mitchell Marsh sold at 6 Crore 50 Lakhs to Delhi Capitals

India is witnessing the TATA IPL Mega Auction 2022 in Bengaluru on Saturday, February 12. The 30-year old Australian all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh has been sold for 6 Crore 50 Lakhs to Delhi Capitals. He was registered at a base price of Rs 2 crores by virtue of being a capped player.

Mitchell Marsh is among the successful and experienced players of Australia. He has experience in all three formats of cricket. This hard-hitting middle-order batsman has picked 225 runs and 20 wickets in his IPL history. However, he has yet to start his successful inning in his IPL career.

Mitchell Marsh was expected to fetch the highest prices at the mega auction. Delhi Calitals has retained the player for 6 Crore 50 Lakhs.

The right-handed batsman and right-arm bowler had generated great interest among other franchises including Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans.

The Australian all-rounder has played for Pune Warriors India, SunRisers Hyderabad, and Rising Pune Supergiants in the past. Marsh bagged the title of Man of the match in the World Cup.
