The Three Reds; Suarez, Mane and Torres

Luis Suarez, Sadio Mane and Fernando Torres have one thing in common, all the stars have played for London club Liverpool at some point in their life.

Luis Suarez was supposedly the replacement for Fernando Torres and in his very first season, he scored 17 goals in 34 appearances, sooner he became the key player for the Reds and was on a roll of putting the ball in the net. Suarez technical brilliance was also something to vouch for. Liverpool manager at that time Brendan Rogers said “I think he was one of the top strikers in the world today”.

Sadio Mane was signed for 30 million pounds in 2016 from club Southampton. He scored his maiden two goals in a match against PSG on 20 March, 2016 and afterwards he became the most expensive African footballer in history. He finished his first season with 13 goals in 27 games. In the 2018/19 season, Mane was even exceptional than Salah. Mane suffered a lot of injuries in the 2020/21 seasons, he has scored 90 goals for Liverpool till date.

Spanish footballer Fernando Torres is famous for his joint contribution with the then Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, he became a sensation at the age of only 19. He scored 13 goals in 29 appearances in his first season with the Reds. He smashed 65 goals in 102 games for Liverpool. Torres was also nominated or the PFA Young Player of the Year Award. His absence felt during his immediate transfer to Chelsea.
