Top Connor McGregor fights
vs Eddie Alvarez
This performance shot McGregor into the record books, it could be no other in the No. 1 spot. The battle was for the lightweight title, he slammed the reigning champion, Eddie Alvarez, in the main event of the UFC 205 fight card. It took McGregor less than two rounds to pick apart Alvarez and become the first-ever UFC fighter to hold titles in two divisions at the same time.
vs Jose Aldo
Probably the toughest in McGregor’s career, the battle was with the reigning featherweight king Jose Aldo. McGregor unified the featherweight title in just 13 seconds and completely silenced all doubters. It was the best finish in the UFC championship history with that victory.
vs Donald Cerrone
This victory marked the resurgence of a man many felt was finished for good. McGregor stepped into the Octagon nearly four years removed from his most recent victory. In just a matter of 40 seconds, victory was assured for McGregor. Indeed a tight slap to all haters.
vs Chad Mendes
It was the first time that McGregor held a UFC title. When his original opponent was forced to withdraw from the bout Chad Mendes stepped up hoping to stop the hype train and derail any chances of McGregor holding a UFC title. Mendes almost snatched a win, but the second round was the game changer and McGregor was victorious.
vs Dennis Siver
This was another great one from McGregor, but what most people remember about this fight was the moment McGregor leaped over the Octagon walls to confront Jose Aldo. With this win McGregor rose to superstardom, he could have done anything in the cage, it was all forgotten once Aldo got involved.
vs Marcus Brimage
An introduction for McGregor in the MMA world, McGregor shot into the spotlight when he stunned in his UFC debut with a 1:07 knockout of Marcus Brimage. This also marked the first of many performance bonuses’ for the Irishman.
vs Nate Diaz
This fight marked a important and crucial moment in McGregor’s career. He proved that he can avenge a loss. This bout came after his first UFC loss to Nate Diaz and he was able to secure the slim win with a majority decision. It’s was a complete one man show from McGregor.
vs Diego Brandao
Not the best, but definitely a hell of a battle, This marked the first of many headlining fights and was held in McGregor’s home country of Ireland. McGregor stopped Brandao in the very first round that night.
vs Dustin Poirier
McGregor secured the third bonus of his career when he TKO’d Dustin Poirier in under two minutes. Though it wasn’t the fastest finish of his career, it was still pretty fun to watch him completely crunch Poirier in quick succession. By this time, McGregor was an established MMA fighter in the wrestling world.
vs Max Holloway
The fight against Holloway is probably the least great or essential win in the Irishman’s career. It was just a fight on his way to the top, there was no deeper meaning. I also picked it for No. 10 as it’s one of only two decision wins on his UFC record.
