PV Sindhu plays badminton for India. Born in Hyderabad in 1995, Sindhu plays for the national team of India. Sindhu began playing badminton when she was eight years old. Soon after, she joined Pullela Gopichand’s academy. She started winning titles in the Under-10 and Under-13 divisions. During the 2012 Asian Junior Championship, she won a Gold medal.
