Top-seeded Medvedev triumphs in Indian Wells, while Pliskova is shocked

Angelique Kerber beat Daria Kasatkina, the 20th seed, 6-2 1-6 6-4. No. 12 Ons Jabeur won her 46th match of the year, defeating Danielle Collins 6-1 6-3.
