Vilarreal’s hopes to slam the Reds in a close contest
The Spanish team Vilarreal will be eyeing for a win against Liverpool, otherwise it will be their final night in the Champions League. With giving surprise to Juventus and Bayern Munich, but can it turn the tables around in this one against a previous loss to the Reds.
Villarreal is only seventh in the Spanish league, nine points from the final qualification place in the European competition with just four rounds to go ahead. This means that only the UEFA Champions League title is likely to allow the club back in the Europe’s top club competition next season. The team hasn’t been part of the Champions League since the 2011 – 12 season.
“We are going through a historic moment. Our people are very proud, “said coach Emery. “We’ve been playing well at home. Hopefully in front of our fans we will have our best performance and advance.”
Villarreal is undeafeted at home with more than five months, this will boost their performance and confidence ahead of the game against Liverpool.
