Rishabh Pant looks in a happy mood on the fourth day of the final test against Australia in Brisbane. The Delhi boy is known for his chatter behind the stumps, and on Monday he brought his shenanigans to another stage as he heard the Hindi version of the ‘Spiderman’ song sing.
The incident occurred on the 56th of the Australian 2nd inning. Pant spoke to the off-spinner Washington Sundar and asked him to spin a web around the Aussie batters much as the comic character Spiderman did.
He began singing “Spiderman… Spiderman” during his talk with the bowler, and the stump mike caught the recording. Soon, the video went viral on social media, leaving cricket fans in splits.
Though many fans have shared their views on Pant’s singing abilities, one of India’s leading OTT sites – Amazon Prime Video – has come up with some Spiderman movie recommendations that are available on the website.
“Recommendation for you if you’re Rishabh Pant or you love Rishabh Pant,” it tweeted.
During the fourth day of play, Indian left-arm pacemaker Mohammed Siraj claimed his maiden five-wheeled haul as Australia slammed 294 into their second innings. The Hyderabad bowler posted 5 for 73, while Shardul Thakur returned with four wickets under his belt.
Later, the Indian openers were able to bat for 1.5 overs before the rain stopped playing and the stumps were soon called. Visitors now need 324 runners to win with 10 buckets in hand.
Interestingly, Brisbane’s highest goal is 236 and seven decades old, which is an example of whether Fort Knox can balance this Australian field. The home side hasn’t lost a game since 1988.
