Why Team India knee down picture is not going well amongst users on twitter for Black Lives Matter

Team India took a knee in solidarity with the “Black Lives Matter” movement in the West moments before the start of the high-octane Super 12 match at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Pakistani players were seen with their hands on their hearts as they stood.

While Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, India’s opening batters, took a knee on the field, the rest of the team made a similar gesture on the boundary lines in front of the dugout.

Before the gesture, Rohit Sharma was spotted conversing with Babar Azam.

Azam won the toss and chose Kohli and the rest of the team to bat first. India’s start has been poor, with three wickets for 36 runs after six overs. Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav, the top three batters in the order, have returned to the pavilion. Along with Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli has been tasked with stabilizing the innings.

On Twitter, Indian fans have praised the team for the gesture of respect.

Team India will try to keep their perfect record against Pakistan at the T20 World Cup, having won all five matches between the two teams between now and the encounter on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the Dubai International Stadium.
