Will RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell miss the start of the 15th season of the IPL?
The major auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has concluded, and the 10 teams have been determined. The 15th edition is set to begin on April 2 and will last through June 3rd. However, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is expected to miss the start of the lucrative competition.
Because he is slated to marry his fiancée Vini Raman in late March, he has not been selected in the team flying to Pakistan for the forthcoming historic trip. Maxwell had declared publicly that he will be unable to participate in the Pakistan trip owing to his wedding in November of last year.
Due to his wedding, the 33-year-old would be unavailable for cricket duties at that time, and he is also likely to miss the start of the IIPL 2022. The player, along with Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj, was previously retained by the team and is the favorite to lead RCB this season.
The RCB family is incredibly happy for @vini_raman and @Gmaxi_32 on the beginning of this new chapter in their lives. 🥳🤩
Wishing you both all the happiness and peace, Maxi! ❤️🙌🏻 pic.twitter.com/RxUimi3MeX

The all-rounder had been engaged to Vini Raman since March 2020, but owing to COVID-19 lockdowns, they had to cancel their wedding numerous times.
Their wedding invitation card has gone popular on social media due to the fact that it is printed in traditional Tamil, which has startled netizens.
Talking about his wedding plans, Maxwell said the clash between his wedding and cricket duties was unavoidable. “Originally when I organized the dates with CA there was a two-week gap where I could potentially have it,” Maxwell said to Fox Cricket.
As an IPL player, Glenn Maxwell still has a lot to show. Despite a strong 2021 season, his track record reveals a lot of unpredictability. Following a good season, the Australian has had two terrible seasons, and leadership might make matters worse.
