Time and again, allegations encircle “$70,000 CEO”, Dan Price
Dan Price, 38, CEO of Gravity Payments has stepped down as he was allegedly charged with assaulting a 26-year-old woman. He stated that the company is his utmost priority and he won’t let himself become a cause of unwanted distractions. Tammy Kroll, who was the Chief Operating Officer is all set to become Gravity Payment’s new CEO.
Price has been charged by Seattle prosecutors with misdemeanor assault and impetuous driving. The charges levied against him claim that Price attempted to kiss a woman, when denied, he grabbed her by the throat. Following this, he purportedly drove to the parking lot and carried out ‘doughnuts’. Meanwhile, that woman was still in his Tesla. Price rebutted that all the claims are nothing but a lie.
Dan Price bagged a bunch of attention in the year 2015, for slashing his pay from $1 million to $70,000 while raising the minimum age of the company, within three years, up from $48,000. When asked about the same, he said that he is ecstatic because he could help people. They deserve every penny of it. He called his decision a “Sacrifice”.
The news came around the time when his older brother, Lucas sued him for overpaying himself and violating his rights as a minority shareholder. However, the decision landed in Price’s court and the allegations were vindicated.
A new fact has been revealed that back in 2015, Kristie Colon, Price’s ex-wife while giving TEDx talk alleged him of physically assaulting her. However, his name was kept under the sheets.
