Twitter Blue will increase their subscription fee
Twitter launched Twitter Blue last year in several countries. This facilitated few extra features for anyone willing to pay $2.99 per month. However Twitter informed on Thursday, 28 July, that it is increasing the price for Twitter Blue. In the US the new price amounts to $4.99 per month.
The new subscription amounts might not be affecting information addicts but it might make many users question if it’s really worthwhile.
Twitter Blue includes add-ons that ranges from extremely useful to trivial features. This includes an undo tweet window to fix typos, customizable navigation bar, a list of Top Articles shared by our followers, ad-free access to articles on sites that even includes The Verge and also an ability to choose from different app icons. It also includes some questionable features such as NFT hexagon profile pics.
Twitter Blue recently mailed their subscribers, justifying the reason for increase in subscription price. The team message said that the new amount helps them to continue building some of the features that users have been asking for. It also helps them to improve and upgrade the present features and thus helps them sustain their mission of supporting journalism.
New subscribers are experiencing the affect. However the early adopters have to stay locked in at the original price until October and can expect to receive an opportunity to cancel at least 30 days before the new rate takes effect.
