Now Twitter has permanently suspended his account @realDonaldTrump.
The ongoing revolt and protest in the US can be speculated as to main reason for this. Twitter said that-: “After close review, we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,”
Various other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat had taken similar action against President Donald Trump’s account after Trump supporters stormed US Capitol Hill on Wednesday.
There was a massive gathering amid Covid lockdown and those protestors had swarmed the US Capitol on Wednesday. Calling lawmakers to undo Trump’s loss.
“Future violations of the Twitter Rules, including our Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies, will result in permanent suspension of the @realDonaldTrump account,” Twitter had said on Wednesday.
However, the ban was lifted after 12 hours on 8 January.
Trump tweeted, “The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape, or form!!!”
Facebook and its sister company Insta too locked T rump’s account for 24 hours, then later extended it for 2 weeks until some stability comes into the matter.
