What are the documents that you require for Covid-19 vaccine?
On Friday, the Ministry of Health of the Union issued the documentation that could be used for the registration of COVID-19 vaccines. Beneficiaries can create a driving license, a health insurance smart card issued under the Ministry of Labor scheme, a Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Jobs Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) work card, official identification cards issued to MLAs/MLCs, PAN card, bank/post office passbooks, visa, pension document, service identification card provided to workers by central/state governments/public limited companies and voter ID – at the time of registration.
Upon online registration, the user will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number on the date, location and time of vaccination. And after all doses of the vaccine have been administered, a QR code-based certificate will be sent to the registered mobile phone, the Ministry says.
Photo ID must be
The photo ID must be used for both registration and authentication at the session site. ‘Protective quantities of antibodies are usually produced two weeks after the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and it must be assured that the whole schedule of vaccinations is fulfilled with just one form of vaccine since various vaccines are not compatible,’ he says.
It is therefore advisable to undergo a full schedule of vaccines, regardless of previous experience of infection with COVID-19. This will help to build a good immune response to the disease, he says.
