Anonymous Hacked Russian Orthodox Church, Leaked 15 GB Data And 57,500 Emails
The Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Lipetsk Mechanical Plant were hacked by the Anonymous hacker group during the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
Anonymous, an enigmatic activist group, is waging a “cyber war” against Russia. They hacked the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Lipetsk Mechanical Plant, which makes components for anti-aircraft missile launchers and other military equipment, on Friday.
The hacker group announced on Twitter that they had merged and uploaded to the internet approximately 15 GB of data from the Russian Orthodox Church’s charity wing.

Furthermore, they have released approximately 57,500 emails via DDoSecrets (Distributed Denial of Secrets). DDoSecrets, which stands for Distributed Denial of Secrets, is a non-profit news whistleblower website that debuted in 2018.
The Anonymous hacker group stated in a tweet that due to the nature of the leaked data, DDoSecrets has been providing the data to journalists and researchers.
Previously, Anonymous TV reported that the Anonymous Collective has stated that over 35,000 files will be released within 48 hours under secret agreements.
The group targeted Russia’s Central Bank after previously targeting companies that continue to operate in Russia even as Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s forces continue to attack.
