Check out the mystery behind the Steve Irwin death video where his murder was captured
Steve Irwin tragically died on September 4 after he was stabbed in the heart by a stingray. This incident occurred sixteen years ago.
The famous zookeeper, environmentalist, TV personality, as well as a wildlife expert acquired worldwide success for his empathetic encounters with animals, which were prominently displayed in the popular TV Show “The Crocodile Hunter.”
Following his death, his fans all around the world expressed their sorrow. He continues to be recognized as one of the most significant animal experts to have ever lived, even 16 years after his death.
Regardless of whether he was in threat from reptiles, or sharks, all of Irwin’s admirers and wildlife lovers understood he always preferred the cameras to keep rolling. Sadly, his last few moments were also captured on camera.
Irwin was filming a stingray that was not dangerous when the tragedy occurred. An underwater camera captured the event of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef that killed Irwin. The place of his death and the whereabouts of the original footage are still not found, though.
Irwin made it a practice to record everything, according to Tommy Donovan, the wildlife expert’s IMDb biographer, therefore the last moments of his life were also captured on camera.” If he [Steve Irwin] needs help he will ask for it. Even if he is eaten by a shark or croc, the main thing he wants is that it be filmed. If he died he would be sad if no one got it on tape,” said Donovan.
But the horrific day in 2006 wasn’t just one incident.
Justin Lyons, who captured the incident, first had no idea that Irwin had been stabbed in the heart.
When Lyons returned to the boat and saw Irwin having difficulty in breathing, then only he realized that something serious had occurred.
“Even if we’d been able to get him into an emergency ward at that moment we probably wouldn’t have been able to save him because the damage to his heart was massive,” said Donovan.
Irwin was originally not meant to go out at sea that day capturing stingrays because Ocean’s Deadliest filming had been postponed due to weather issues.
Lyons and Irwin reportedly left their hotel rooms because they were bored and wanted to go shooting.
