The founder, CEO, and Chief Engineer of SpaceX Elon Musk has tweeted replying to History Defined on Twitter, “While bleak posts maybe generate more clicks, more happier moments in history would be nice.”

Mr. Musk has made this tweet regarding History Defined’s post about “The Tragic Lives of Joseph Stalin’s Children.”

According to History Defined Stalin’s totalitarian Soviet-era has created a total economic collapse of the state. The state witnessed the worst famine in human history due in the early 1930s killing millions of people in Ukraine along with several incidents of cannibalism. Stalin has been also sending millions of people from his own country to Gulag prison. His military intervention into government and administrative forces led to the death of millions of people.

However, what is the most intriguing factor that the website has cited is Stalin’s several marriages. History Defined stated that the notorious Soviet dictator has indulged in several marriages. He first married Ekaterina Svanidze in 1906 at the age of 28 and had a child named Yakov. Later in 1919 Stalin remarried a woman who was half of his age named Nadezhda Alliluyeva who committed suicide in 1932. Although Stalin has several affairs outside of his marriage.

Stalin left his elder son Yakov right after his first wife died. Yakov attempted suicide after being ignored by his father. Later Stalin made Yakov join Red Army when the Germans invaded Russia. He was captured immediately by the Germans but instead of helping him out, Stalin considered him to be a traitor to the Russians. Yakov died in the concentration camp.

Although Vasily Stalin his other son from Stalin’s second marriage lived a prosperous life with a lavish lifestyle. He was also promoted as high ranking official. However, his high alcoholism and erratic lifestyle led the Soviet Government to imprison him after his father’s death. Vasily Stalin’s sister also had a hard life because of their father. Stalin was disapproving of her relationship and sent her partner to Gulag.

According to History Defined Stalin behaved selectively to each of his children who had a tragic life. But the website’s post over Stalin on the eve of American Independence stirred controversies to which Mr. Musk has responded.
