NewYork has been hit again by a Terror Attack Multiple people were shot, 9/11 Memory recoups again
According to fire officials and three law enforcement sources, multiple persons were shot in a Brooklyn subway station, and several undetonated bombs were also discovered there. They emphasise that this is a preliminary investigation.
According to three senior law enforcement authorities, at least five victims were shot by a man around 5 feet 5 inches tall and 180 pounds who was wearing a gas mask and an orange construction vest. He escaped the scene and has yet to be apprehended.
Several law enforcement sources claimed the shooter may have tossed a device before starting fire around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sunset Park station on 36th Street and Fourth Avenue. It was unclear how serious the victims’ injuries were.
The FDNY said it arrived to the station after receiving a call for smoke and discovered multiple gunshot victims. On the undetonated devices, no information was immediately available.
People were bloodied on the platform in photos posted to social media, while footage from the Citizen app showed a large police presence at the incident.
According to accounts, several of the injured boarded another train to evacuate to the next station.
New Yorkers were advised to avoid the area and to expect emergency vehicles and delays, according to the NYPD. The N/R Line was shut down from 59 Street to Atlantic Avenue, causing substantial delays on the B, D, F, N, Q, and R lines. The W service has been suspended.
According to Democratic Councilwoman Alexa Aviles, who represents the neighbourhood, local schools have been placed on lockdown. There was no more information available at the time.
