Prince Andrew has tested positive for Covid, will miss Jubilee thanksgiving service

Prince Andrew has tested positive for Covid and will miss Jubilee thanksgiving service on Friday.

Buckingham Palace has announced that the Duke of York has tested positive for Covid and will no longer attend the Queen’s jubilee Thanksgiving Service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

On Friday, June 3rd, Prince Andrew was expected to attend the service, which would have been the largest gathering of the royal family since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in 2018.

It was also expected to be the Duke’s sole official platinum jubilee ceremony.

“After undergoing a normal test, the Duke has tested positive for Covid and will no longer be attending tomorrow’s service,” a palace spokesperson said.

Andrew is said to have met the Queen in recent days, but he has been undergoing regular tests and has not seen her since testing positive.
