The incredible buck moon was visible across the globe and some lucky people could glimpse this spectacular phenomenon on July 14. The moon is known as buck moon during this time according to the book series called Old Farmar’s Almanac which contains weather forecasts. The book also states that during the time of supermoons antlers of male deer (buck) turn to full growth mode. Similarly, when supermoons happen it resembles the story of antlers. The way antlers grow and shed each year moon appears larger three to four times a year during a supermoon phenomenon.
During this time the moon comes closest to the Earth’s orbit. Netizens all across the globe took phenomenal images of this celestial occurrence which can be searched on Twitter under the hashtag Buck Moon. NASA has event arranged a live stream of the Buck Moon event for people who can not view it from their location.
