Still doing the same thing, but bigger; says Elon Musk on his picture from childhood

You all must have come across Elon Musk’s childhood picture on Twitter from the year 1974 which shows him playing with a car. Alongside his childhood photo was his recent picture with Tesla. He wrote “Still doing the same thing, but bigger” and he quite literally meant it.

Even though Elon Musk isn’t the founder of Tesla, with all his intelligence and hard work he helped Tesla reach where it is now.

How did Tesla reach where it is now?

Tesla was established in 2003 by Marc Tarpenning and Martin Eberhard.

Elon Musk joined Tesla in 2004 after making a speculative investment of $6.3 million in Tesla stock. Musk was awarded the title of chairman of the company’s board of directors.

To focus on the new Model- S car, which won plaudits for its design and presentation from automotive experts, Tesla stopped producing the Roadster in 2012. It included three different battery options with 235 or 300-mile ranges, respectively (379 or 483 km). The battery that performed the best allowed for a top speed of 130 miles per hour (209 kilometers per hour) and a speed increase from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in little over four seconds.

Unlike the Roadster, which had its battery system in the back of the vehicle, the Model S’s battery system was positioned beneath the floor. As a result of its low center of gravity, it offered a greater room in the back and enhanced handling. Later, more Tesla models used this battery design. Tesla Autopilot, a type of semi-autonomous driving, became offered for the Model S in 2014. (and later, several models).

In 2012, Tesla started building Supercharger locations in the US and Europe. These were created to swiftly charge batteries for Tesla customers without incurring any additional fees. The Model S battery pack might also be entirely replaced by later iterations of those stations.

In 2015, Tesla released the Model X, a “hybrid” vehicle (i.e., a car with characteristics of a sport utility vehicle but constructed on a vehicle chassis). The Model X could seat up to seven people and had the longest battery range, with a range of around 340 miles (547 km).

Tesla started building enormous facilities called “Gigafactories” to produce batteries and autos. In 2016, the first similar facility was built outside of Reno, Nevada. In addition to Buffalo, New York, they also built Gigafactories in Shanghai, China, and more were planned.

In answer to the demand for a more muted vehicle, the Model 3 made its debut in 2017. a $45,000 four-entryway vehicle with a 353-mile range (568 km). The majority of the controls were on a 15-inch (38-cm) focused touchscreen, and the entire roof of the automobile was made of glass. The Nissan Leaf was surpassed by the Tesla Model 3 to become the best-selling electric vehicle ever and Tesla’s best-selling model.

Musk often mentioned going private with Tesla the next year, implying that he had funds. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Elon Musk of making false statements about his company’s protections and claimed that his tweets were “bogus and deceptive” in September 2018.

Later that month, Tesla’s board rejected a proposed settlement from the SEC, ostensibly after Musk took steps to resign. However, news of the rejected agreement caused Tesla’s stock to crash, and the board quickly approved a less lenient settlement, the conditions of which included Musk stepping down as CEO. In any case, he was permitted to keep his position as CEO.

No one ever thought that Tesla could reach such heights in such a good time, being one of the best and most wanted cars worldwide. Elon Musk is a great example of how hard work and dedication can help you reach heights no one ever thought of.
