Ukraine’s second largest city: Russian troops enter
Amidst ongoing war in Ukraine, Russia enters Ukraine’s second largest City.
Ukraine’s second largest city, Kharkiv, is coming under Russian annexation war. Russia starts war against Ukraine this week. The former calls war as a military operation. On the fourth day of the operation, Russia extends to acquire strategic grounds.
After acquiring the strategically important points, Russia sends a proposal for delegation with Ukraine to Belarus. However, Ukraine demands a change of location as it sees Belarus as a ground for invasion.
Situation before annexing Ukraine’s second largest city
It was not until Sunday that Russia moves to Kharkiv. It is the second largest city of the country. Russian forces remain in the outskirts of Kharkiv. They were 20 kilometeres far from the southern Ukrainan borders.
There are media shared on social platforms showing how Russian army is strolling on streets of invaded regions.
So far, Russia has been shelling Ukraine and damaging it. Ukraine is constantly asking for military and equipment assistance from West. Moreover, the government imposes a curfew which was 39 hours long. It was meant to keep civilians out of streets.
- There were explosions in Vasylkiv’s air base after an intense fighting.
- There were explosions in Zhuliany’s civilian airport.
- Russian military is also invading the strategic points in southern Ukraine, for instance Kherson on the black sea and Berdyansk on Azov sea.
