Ukrainian Authorities have issued a guided health information card of what to do in case of Radiation Poisoning

Radiation sickness refers to physical harm caused by exposure to a high dose of radiation, frequently over a short period of time (acute). How sick you get depends on the body’s radiation absorption rate, often known as the “absorbed dosage.”

Other terms for radiation disease include acute radiation syndrome and radiation poisoning. Radiation sickness is not a side effect of routine imaging techniques that employ low-dose radiation, such as X-rays and CT scans.

Radiation sickness is hazardous and frequently lethal, although uncommon. Since World War II, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, most cases of radiation illness have been caused by nuclear industrial accidents, including the 1986 explosion and fire that damaged the Chornobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

Keeping the possibility of the seriousness the radiation might bring, Ukrainian Authorities have issued a guided health information card of what to do in case of Radiation Poisoning. The Health Information card read, “Iodine prevention in case of a radiation accident. Iodine prevention is carried out only after official notification.
For this, potassium iodide is taken.
