United States stricts the state’s export controls on technologies

The United States on Friday tightens the export controls on technologies which assists the production of advanced semiconductors and gas turbine engines.

The U.S export controls includes a broader range of technologies, consisting equipment, software and technology which is used to make semiconductors than the international agreement.

Accordingly, the ’emerging and foundational technologies’ in the exports includes gallium oxide and diamond. Significantly, these material’s use has been increased rapidly.

Consequently, technological evolution allows the technologies like semiconductors and engines to work faster, more efficiently and longer and in extreme conditions, it becomes game changers in both the commercial and military factors.

In June 2021, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission found out that the export department was not working to its fullest to keep the technology out of the control from China’s military. The delay in making the list of emerging and foundational technologies, which was required as per a 2018 law, has worsened the risk on national security.
