Design and build quality
When closed on a desk, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has the appearance of a gaming laptop, especially when viewed from the back. It’s a big laptop, up to 1.1 inches thick, with aggressive lines that come together in a girthy back with big vents and plenty of ports. Lenovo keeps the design simple with a gunmetal color scheme and an unstated logo, but there’s no mistaking this for a ThinkPad.
The Legion 5 Pro is unapologetically large, as you’ll notice when you pack the 5.4-pound chassis. When used for productivity, it’s also a user-friendly laptop. You won’t be distracted by a turbo button or an LED-backlit logo. Priority is given to function.
Performance
This laptop uses the AMD Ryzen 5 6600H or AMD Ryzzen 7 6800Hz processor, which easily outperforms the Intel Core i7 12th generation. Making this an industry leader, but usages sailed through Intel Soc in real-time. This means you’ll have a more immersive experience with no lags. However, for the best experience, we recommend using the Medium settings.
Pricing
The device is powered by a Ryzen 7 6800H (8c/16T, 4.47Hz Max) processor, 16GB DDR5 28 4800mhz RAM, and a 1TV NVMe Pcie 3.0 SSD. The GPU is an RTX 3060 with 6GB GDDR6 and a 140W TGP. The total cost was $1599 (Rs 1,50,000). You can also go for the higher-end models, which cost $1599 for the RTX 3060, $1799 for the RTX 3070, and $1999 for the RTX 3070 Ti.
Webcam, microphone, biometrics
A basic 720p webcam is squeezed into the thin top bezel of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro. Even in low-light situations, image quality is adequate, but it frequently appears soft and grainy. An electronic privacy shutter is included and is controlled by a switch near the 3.5mm audio jack on the laptop.
When speaking quietly or facing slightly off-center from the laptop, the microphone surprises with clear, crisp audio that delivers good volume. The presentation of the microphone is deep and resonant, and it appears professional. You might not look your best in meetings, but your message will be heard loud and clear.
