Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the 2022 Japanese animated adventure film is now available for worldwide streaming on Crunchyroll
The 2022 Japanese animated martial arts fantasy adventure film, “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” is now available for worldwide streaming as of July 12, 2023, on Crunchyroll, the popular anime streaming platform. Crunchyroll is responsible for distributing the film along with Sony Pictures Entertainment, outside Japan.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the first Dragon Ball film to be distributed by Crunchyroll after Sony acquired Crunchyroll in 2021. Sony merged Crunchyroll with Funimation in the year 2022.
The film is directed by Tetsuro Kodama and was produced by Toei Animation and written by Akira Toriyama, creator of the Dragon Ball series.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the 21st Dragon Ball feature film. On the other hand, it is the fourth film produced with Toriyama’s direct involvement, the second with the branding Dragon Ball Super and the first resorting to mainly 3D animation use.
The film was first released in Japan on June 11, 2022. It got relaxed in IMAX, 4DX, Dolby Cinema, and MX4D. The film was released across worldwide theatres in August and September 2022. Crunchyroll, however, distributed the film in North America by themselves without Sony Pictures Releasing International.
In terms of ‘Home media’, the film was released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 14, 2023. The film, which is now available on Crunchyroll for worldwide streaming, is available in 11 languages and 9 languages with dubs.
