Subramanian Swamy says, “Don’t go by name Tata. Air India has begun as mess”
Subramanian Swamy tweets about the Air India and Tara’s dealsays, “Rotten Tata is just the opposite of the real Tatas starting with Jamshedji Tata. Everything the he and his descendent Tata did was successful. But major projects of RoT which I will list soon, have been failures & wound up. So don’t go by name Tata. Air India has begun as a mess”

Mr. Swamy, who regarded in person, had sought a direction to the government to quash the present Air India disinvestment process, terming it “arbitrary, unconstitutional, unfair” and “rigged in favour of the Tatas.”
He had stated that the only other bidder in the disinvestment system was a consortium led via the SpiceJet owner, which was facing insolvency court cases in the Madras High Court and as a consequence could not have bid. “This means there was solely one bidder and the bid could not have taken place,” he had argued. On October 8, 2021, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the highest price bid of Talace Private Limited for sale of 100% equity shareholding of the Government of India in Air India, along with the equity shareholding of Air India in Air India Express Limited and Air India Air Transport Services Limited.
