Controversy from 2021
Twins Lee Jae-Yeong and Da-Yeong were seen at Incheon Airport on Saturday night, getting ready to go to Greece with their mother. They were on their way to Thessaloniki to join PAOK Volleyball Club.
When passing through immigration, the Lee twins remained silent and did not answer queries from the media. “Keep your head up” and “pull yourself together,” their mother was heard telling the twins.
The twins’ departure had been permitted earlier after the FIVB, the world volleyball governing body, confirmed the athletes’ transfer. After being interviewed at the Greek Embassy in Seoul, they received their work visas for Greece last week.
