Canon presents the SELPHY QX20 portable photo printer, the successor to SELPHY SQUARE QX10, with enhanced features, check details here

Canon announced the succeeding photo printer to the SELPHY SQUARE QX10, the new ‘SELPHY QX20’ on 12 September 2024. The SELPHY QX20 is a portable photo printer, which will support both the postcard-sized form factor and square format paper. Furthermore, it will be able to print on business-card-sized 86 x 54mm card paper. Canon aims to offer more freedom to its users to get creative with the SELPHY QX20.

Colour and Size: The SELPHY QX20 comes in three colour variants Sand White, Dark Grey, and Terracotta Red. The printer weighs less than a 500ml bottle of water. It is the size of a palm. Moreover, it is portable enough to be carried inside an everyday bag.

App Connectivity and Cloud Storage: You can pair the printer with a smart device with the SELPHY Photo Layout app. This will enable you to edit, decorate, and adjust the layout of your photos. Furthermore, you can also create collages before you print your pictures. Your creations through this app can be stored in the cloud. You can also share them with your peers.

Along with this, the printer also supports two different sticker paper formats. This opens up doors to create labels, art projects, scrapbooks, and even souvenirs for various events.

Features and Specifications: The SELPHY QX20 also features a dye-sublimation thermal transfer method, just like the SELPHY QX10 and CP1500. This method heats up the ink film until it vaporizes into gas. This provides beautiful colours and smooth gradations. Furthermore, one can achieve sharper, clearer images with a new clarity-focused sharpness processing method.

The SELPHY QX20 will allow you to explore your creativity immensely. Whether you want to be minimal and simple or go crazy with customizable layout and decorative options, the printer will enable all of them. It will offer you 35 types of stamps, 25 frames, and up to 7 overlays. Additionally, you can use text and paint functions.

Every print from the device comes with a special laminate that protects it from water, dirt, and fingerprints. It also protects from colour bleeding and fading.

According to Canon, the prints can last up to 100 years when stored in an album.

The printer requires about 40 seconds to print. On the other hand, it can charge up fully in about 80 minutes via a USB Type-C cable.
