A new Rollable phone concept has been announced by Motorola, check the details below
Recently, Motorola announced a new concept for a rollable smartphone that has a button-activated screen that can be opened and closed. The most recent example of how tech companies are experimenting with novel techniques to produce the modern smartphone is the device, which the maker revealed at Lenovo Tech World.
A 5-inch screen that expands to 6.5 inches is possible on Lenovo’s hypothetical rollable phone. Because it is virtually the same size as the iPhone 14 Pro Max when completely extended, it is even more compact when in tiny mode than the iPhone 13 Mini. Because the product is still in the idea stage, the company has no present plans to release it.
Popular smartphone leaker Evan Blass stated in an article on the blog 91Mobiles that Motorola was in the early stages of developing a rollable smartphone in May.
Motorola’s approach is distinct from some of the other rollable smartphone prototypes we’ve seen so far. Companies like Samsung and TCL, for example, have developed concept devices with displays that stretch horizontally rather than vertically to switch between smartphone and tablet modes.
According to Ross Young, co-founder, and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, rollable may be able to address some of the issues with existing large-format foldable like the Galaxy Z Fold line.
Motorola is not currently providing any more details about it and the timing of its commercialization is uncertain.
