JBL Flip 7 recently appeared in the NCC certification database, revealing its available color options. After much anticipation from JBL fans, the company has finally made the Flip 7 official—at least for the Chinese market. The speaker is now listed for pre-orders on JD.com, a major Chinese retailer.

Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the Flip 7 boasts an IP68 rating, making it dustproof, waterproof, and highly durable. Whether you’re caught in heavy rain, or a sandstorm, or accidentally drop it in water, this speaker can handle it all—even submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Connectivity is another major highlight, with Bluetooth 5.4 for faster pairing, lower latency, and improved energy efficiency. It also supports Auracast, allowing multiple compatible JBL speakers to sync for an expanded soundstage—perfect for parties or outdoor gatherings.
For those who prefer wired listening, the USB Type-C audio input includes a high-quality DAC chip, ensuring lossless audio when connected to computers or compatible devices. JBL is launching the Flip 7 in China with a special gift box edition priced at 1,349 yuan (~$186). Early buyers can grab it for a discounted price of 1,149 yuan (~$158). Pre-orders start on February 24.
The packaging includes a custom gift box, a red Flip 7 speaker, a handbag, and a 10 cm plush mascot keychain. It is listed in Red, Black, Purple, and Blue color options.
No word yet on the global release, but given JBL’s history, it shouldn’t be long before it hits other markets.
