Apple AirTag 2 could go for the mass production in 4Q24
Recently we covered the leaked image of Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag 2 and now reports are arising around its competitor Apple Air Tag. According to an analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple could be planning to work on a new generation of AirTag.
The same analyst wrote in June of this year that if the shipment of the Apple AirTag grows Apple will develop a second generation of this product. He further mentioned in the tweet that AirTag 2 will likely go into mass production in 4Q24 means later next year.
He believes “spatial computing is a new ecosystem that Apple wants to build, using Vision Pro as the core to integrate other devices, including AirTag 2.” As of now, there is no such official report around it so it remains unknown whether Apple will go for the second generation of this product or not.
This device by Apple is basically used as an item tracker to keep track of those items that we don’t want to lose. Though this device has also been used to stalk for which Apple made some changes in it. Recently Google also announced that Android phones can now alert if you are being stalked using an AirTag.
Apple has also worked on its upcoming iOS17 which will let users share AirTag with family users and Apple Vision Pro Precision Find Feature that will let users track the device.
