Apple has no plans to launch a larger screen iMac anytime soon

Apple has no plans to release a new iMac with a larger display in the near future. Following the discontinuation of the Intel-based 27-inch iMac, the 24-inch iMac is now the only iMac option.

In these situations, information provided by sources can be hit-or-miss and, at times, speculative. However, the originating article claims that this information was obtained from the same sources who were extremely accurate about Apple’s Mac Studio and Studio Display plans.

Aside from what was recently announced at Apple’s most recent media event, the company is said to be working on the next generation of Mac computers.

Apple’s next-generation silicone, the M2, will most likely power the new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. There will be plenty of options for those looking for a new Mac, but none of them will be 27-inch – or larger – M2-powered iMacs.

The lack of desire to significantly improve the iMac does not appear to be limited to the 27-inch model. According to the information provided, Apple will not include its high-end processors (Pro, Max, and Ultra) in any new 24-inch iMac.

Potential customers and fans of Apple’s products can draw their own conclusions about the iMac’s future, but Apple’s plans are always subject to change.

However, it is understandable that Apple and its marketing departments would be interested in promoting the recently announced Mac Studio and Mac Pro.

Apple can charge higher prices to its professional users for hardware such as the Mac Studio and the upcoming Apple silicone-powered Mac Pro, so this could be where the company sees immediate aggressive growth.
