Apple is issuing updates for iPhones and iPads to fix security issues and more ; check out now

iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16 updates are available in India.

Recently, Apple has started releasing new software upgrades for its iPads and iPhones. While iOS 16.1 and iPad OS 16 bring new features, Apple has made it clear that the updates also fix serious security issues. If left unpatched, hackers can run malware and take control of the entire system. Accordingly, the company is urging customers to upgrade their iPhones and iPad to the latest versions.

The operating system kernel, which is the central part, has a zero-day vulnerability, designated CVE-2022-42827. Apple notes that  “An application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited” on its help website. This basically suggests that the corporation is fixing the issue in its most recent version and that hackers may be aware of the vulnerability.

CVE-2022-42827 is Apple’s eighth zero-day patch in the past 10 months, according to Bleeping Computer. The sixth zero-day vulnerability that Apple has patched this year is CVE-2022-42827, according to a spreadsheet created by a Google researcher.

Apple has fixed 19 more significant bugs with the most recent updates, according to their support website. Others include Apple Mobile File Integrity, Core Bluetooth, IOK it, and this iOS sandbox.

iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16 (5th generation or later) are now available for iPhone 8 and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air (3rd generation or later), iPad 5th generation or later, and iPad mini.
