Apple Pencil to sample colors from the real world – Apple Patents the Pencil

Apple has another great news for artists and this must be just the best one yet. The Apple Pencils are widely used by artists and are also the most preferred one along with the Apple iPads for their artwork.

Now, there has been news, as reported by MacRumours, that a new Apple Pencil is to come that can sample colors from the real world and input them onto an iPad. They also reported that Apple has patented the possible next-generation Apple Pencil. It also has other features including the ability to sample textures. Other than that, the Pencil ‌may come with a built-in light ambient sensor, light emitter, and a light detector.

Patently Apple reported that the patent describes an ‌ Apple Pencil  with color sensors. It is built into the tip of the pencil that can sample the surface of real-world objects and detect their color.

Ofcourse, there has been no news or statements made regarding the launch or release of the pencil so all the artists have to still wait. There’s no such surety that the pencil will launch too. The second gen of Apple Pencils that was announced in 2018 had no followup for a third generation.
