Based on Android 12L, older foldables now includes One UI 4.1.1 from Samsung
Samsung’s newest flagship foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, came with a new version of One UI built on Android 12L. First-party program optimizations, a Taskbar, new multitasking gestures, and other features and improvements for large-screen devices were all included in the update. About a month ago, Samsung released an update for its top-tier Galaxy Tab S8 line. For older foldable, the update is now being rolled out.
Samsung’s One UI 4.1.1, based on Android 12L, has begun rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. It should reach all users in the upcoming days. The earlier Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Z Fold will also be able to receive the upgrade, although Samsung has not yet announced when these devices will be able to do so.
As part of the update, users will receive the new Taskbar features that Samsung announced at its Galaxy Unpacked event last month. It may be used to start apps in split-screen mode, launch regularly used app pairs in that manner, pop-up windows, and provide quick access to frequently used apps.
One UI 4.1.1 contains enhancements for the Taskbar, My Files, Samsung Internet, and a new two-finger gesture that makes switching between full-screen and split-screen views more convenient. Additionally, the update provides users access to additional Quick Setting choices and enhances camera controls on the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s Cover Screen, which can now be used to take selfies.
One UI 4.1.1 for the Galaxy Z Flip series allows you to quickly call your favorite contacts and answer missed calls thanks to a Direct Dial capability. Additionally, it enhances voice-to-text functionality and emoji response for chats.
