Company Teases OnePlus Band on Amazon and Twitter
OnePlus Band (not yet officially named) has been officially teased on Twitter and Amazon. Rumors about the OnePlus fitness band began late last month and was supposed to be released in the first quarter of this year. But it looks like the OnePlus Band could be released as soon as this month, although the company has not yet shared an official release date. A few established tipsters have reported that the OnePlus Band would be released on 11 January. Its price and specs have also been tipped.
OnePlus India posted a teaser image of the fitness band on Twitter without giving its official name or any specification. The photo has ‘The Fresh Face of Fitness’ written on it along with ‘Coming Soon.’ The dedicated website of the fitness band also went live on the OnePlus India website with the ‘Notify Me’ option and information about the ‘Pursuit of Fitness’ quiz that offers participants a chance to win the fitness tracker. The FAQ segment says the winners of the quiz will be revealed in a couple of days.
Launch date
The OnePlus Band, shared by the well-known tipsters Mukul Sharma and Ishan Agarwal, could be released on 11 January with a price tag of Rs. 2,499.
Apart from its official website listing, the OnePlus Band also has an Amazon page with the ‘Notify Me’ option. The Amazon page teases the software that will be included in combination with the fitness band. It displays sleep info, which means that the exercise band comes with sleep monitoring.
Also, tipster Mukul Sharma has posted photographs of the OnePlus Band on Twitter showing a tracker with a black rectangular monitor and a gray strap. It is said to come in three colors, Black, Navy, and Tangerine Grey.
Specifications
As per the video posted by Sharma on YouTube, the OnePlus Band will feature a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch panel, 24×7 heart rate tracking, SpO2 blood saturation monitoring, 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, Bluetooth 5.0, IP68 dust and water resistance level, and several workout modes. The OnePlus Band is also said to be waterproof up to 50 meters and to last up to 14 days with its 100mAh battery. It is said to measure 40.4×17.6×11.45mm and to weigh 10.3 grams (tracker only). Most of the same details were shared by Agarwal in his tweet, adding that there will be 13 workout modes and sleep monitoring features.
