[Exclusive] Nothing Ear (2) key specifications leaked, design fully revealed in fresh renders
Nothing recently confirmed that it would announce the Nothing Ear (2) earbuds at 3 PM GMT on March 22. In January, reputed tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) teamed up with a publication to share the first renders of the Ear (2). Now, we have collaborated with OnLeaks to share several new renders as well as the key specifications of the earbuds.
Nothing Ear (2) design
As can be seen in the new images, Nothing Ear (2) will continue to have a semi-transparent design like its predecessor. Like the original model, the Ear (2) will come equipped with a transparent case. There do not seem to be any major changes in Ear (2)’s design as compared to its original model.
A careful look at the renders shows that the company moved the noise-canceling microphone to the top of the stem. There are also some small changes, such as the addition of some new components and “ear (2)” branding to the transparent stem. So, it can be said that Ear (2) will arrive with a refined design.
Nothing Ear (2) specifications
The Nothing Ear (2) will come equipped with 11.6mm speakers like its predecessor. The earbuds will offer a playback time of 6 hours. It will last for up to 36 hours with the case. Users will be able to charge it either through the USB-C port or wirelessly with a Qi-compatible charger.
The Ear (2) will be able to use hybrid ANC (active noise cancellation) to reduce background noise effectively. Each earbud will weigh 4.5 grams, making it slightly lighter than the Ear (1) earbud, which weighs 4.7 grams. Lastly, the earbuds will have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
Reports from the past said that the Nothing Ear (2) might be able to connect to two devices at the same time. Additionally, it may come with the Personalized ANC feature, which gives users the ability to adjust the strength of the ANC to their liking. Finally, an Advanced EQ will be added to the earbuds, enabling users to customize the settings to their preferences.
