Sony WF-1000XM5 launched officially in the Indian market; Check the pricing and specifications
In the month of July, Sony introduced Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds in a few global markets while the earbuds were expected to make their debut in India also. Recently Sony India has officially teased the launch of a new earbud which we suspected to be Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds as the company has not revealed the name earlier.
Well, our assumption turned out to be true as Sony India has today officially launched Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds in the Indian market.

Sony WF-1000XM5: Pricing & Availability
The earbuds arrive in two color variants- Black and platinum silver colors. These earbuds have been priced at Rs.24,990 and will be released for sale on October 18th. Although starting from today consumers can pre-book these earbuds till October 15th. On pre-booking the earbuds, you can get it for Rs.21,990 (including Rs.3000 cashback).
Buyers will also be getting a free SRS-XB100 portable speaker worth Rs.5,990 for all pre-bookings. The earbuds will be available for purchase from Sony Center.
Sony WF-1000XM5: Specifications
The XM5 features 20% enhanced ANC than the XM4. It is equipped with an 8.4 mm Dynamic Driver X. Additionally, the buds are supported by Sony V2 and QN2e chips. In terms of audio quality, it presents 24-bit audio processing. To add to it, it offers high-performance analog amplification. These earbuds feature some cutting-edge technologies like- Hi-Res audio, DSEE Extreme, Bone conduction sensors, Precise voice pickup technology
The battery life of the earbuds is to be appreciated as it offers about 1 hour of playback time with a mere 3-minute charge. As a whole, it is capable of providing an 8-hour battery backup with ANC on. With additional power from the charging case, the backup can be achieved for up to 24 hours.
Head gestures and quadruple taps to control volume are some other additional features. In terms of its connectivity, it features Bluetooth 5.3. The earbuds can be paired with two devices simultaneously. It arrives with an IPX4 rating for splash and sweat resistance.
