Evolution of iPhone over the past 15 years

Apple has given the world an ever-growing developer community, 14 innovative updates. Updates that have consistently raised the bar of excellence on a year-over-year basis.

On an annual basis, Apple provides the world, particularly app entrepreneurs, with reasons why they should select a reputable iphone application development company to begin their app entrepreneurship journey. Reasons that are driven by the innovation that they continue to add, packaged in their annual updates.

Apple’s mobile operating system version, released in 2007, was not even called iOS at the time. It was the very first iPhone OS. The precise point at which iOS’s extensive history began.

The breakthrough that the version brought is difficult to explain to modern-day iPhone users who have grown accustomed to the gleam of today’s iPhone and have little recollection of where it all began.

It was a time when features like Visual Voicemail, Multi-Touch Screen, and iTunes Integration were considered revolutionary. A set of improvements introduced by Apple.

Over the years, Apple has released a total of 34 iPhones.

Initially, Apple released one iPhone per year. From 2010 to 2013, this gradually changed as the release dates of new models became closer and closer together.

Apple, on the other hand, released both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c in September, ushering in a new era of two iPhone releases per year.

Three more iPhone models were released in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and then the tech giant shocked the world in 2020. Not only did Apple release the iPhone SE (second generation) in April, but it also announced the four iPhones in the 12-series lineup in the fall.

Apple revealed the four new phones that comprise the iPhone 13 lineup at its September 2021 event, the latest phones available from Apple until the release of the iPhone SE (third generation) in March 2022.
