Infinix unveils colour changing E-colour shift technology at CES 2024 along with AirCharge and Extreme Temp Battery concept devices
Infinix has announced its breakthrough E-colour shift technology at CES 2024. This technology enables mobile phone rear panels to change and maintain the vibrant colour and that too without consuming battery power. The company also took advantage of the stage to unveil its AirCharge and Extreme Temp Battery concept devices that it says will revolutionize the mobile industry.
Its E-colour Shift using E-Ink Prism enables users to customise their smartphone back panel without putting extra pressure on the battery. “This approach allows users to express their individuality and convey distinctive information through unique phone designs, transcending basic colour changes. This gives their device a fresh look and feel,” said Infinix Mobility Deputy General Manager Liang Zhang.

The Extreme Temp Battery solves the issue with the lithium-ion battery in extreme climatic conditions. Lithium-ion batteries in extremely cold environments experience lithium ion freezing thus making them incapable of charging or discharging. The new technology incorporates biomimetic electrolyte and fusion solid-state technology on the electrodes. This allows the battery to perform exceptionally well even when the temperature is as low as -40°C.
