Intel 14th Gen Core processor tipped to be 20% more efficient than 13th Gen processor

Intel 14th generation processor is confirmed to launch in the market this year but the exact timeline was not mentioned by the company . This processor will be a successor to the 13th generation processor and is expected to come with new level of performance and efficiency along with new socket designs . The upcoming processor is revealed to be based on Meteor Lake architecture . It is highly anticipated that this processor might make it’s entry at the second half of this year .

Earlier it was assumed that this processor will shift from Intel 7 process ( based on third gen 10nm Enhanced SuperFin) to Intel 4 process (based on 7nm Enhanced SuperFin) . Tipster Anthony who goes by @TheGalox on twitter have posted that the new 14th Gen Intel Core processors will be 20% more efficient than it’s predecessor (13th Gen processor) and also it will come with new graphics .

Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors will bring a considerable performance improvement and Intel might also focus on improving gaming efficiency by lowering the core count in this upcoming processor .

According to Intel , the 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPU will feature a brand new tiled architecture , this means that the company has decided to go full-on chiplet . The CPU tile will be making use of a new hybrid core design consisting of Redwood Cove P-Cores and Crestmont E-Cores , delivering higher-performance throughout at lower power . This processor was earlier tipped to feature up to 22 cores , 4xe cores (GPU) and 125W TDP and also that it will boast a whooping 1.5x performance per watt increase which will definitely increase performance and better battery life .

With a host of performance improvements and less power consumption over it’s predecessor , this new Intel processor is surely going to turn the heads of gamers and consumers alike .
