Know about the Apple M3 Chipset

The Apple M3 Chipset will most likely be the next generation of Apple Chipsets. The M3 chip could be based on the 3nm architecture process. We can see the application in the forthcoming MacBooks and iPad Pro lineup.

Apple released the 13-inch MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini models in November 2020 which contained the first arm-based M1 chip. They have received flagships for working efficiently after which Apple released M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets in October 2021.

After receiving a lot of popularity and praise, one year later, in June 2022, Apple released the successor of the M1 chipset, the M2 Chipset. The chipsets are designed for Apple’s MacBooks and iPad Pro lineup however, it was not as efficient as its first generation.

Let’s know about the M3 Chipset:-

As mentioned earlier, the upcoming Apple M3 Chipset is expected to come with TSMCs 3-nanometer architecture process. The last two chipsets, the M1 chip, and the M2 chip, were based on 5-nanometer technology developed by TSMC.

Apple M3 Chipset expected release date is in June 2023 but there has been no such official news. The codenames for their different models are Ibiza, Lobos, and Palma.

As reported by The Information, the upcoming Apple silicon chips may be based on the 3-nanometer architecture process. It is leaked that they will support 40 cores while Apple’s M1 chip has an 8-core CPU, and the M2 chip has a 10-core CPU. The new chip’s performance is expected to be more than 50% compared to the previous generations.
